Top 15 Cheap Property Investment Locations England & Wales, April 2016

Analysis, Background, News

Here are the 15  cheapest property locations for buyers and investors in England and Wales according to Land Registry data as at April 2016.

This month’s figures tend to continue the trend that the most expensive places to invest in property are getting more expensive, while in the ‘bargain basement’ locations prices remain about the same. Blaenau Gwent and Merthyr Tydfil have recorded large annual price rises for the second month in a row – with prices in Blaenau Gwent rising at three times the national average.

Oldham and Hull both experienced solid price rises – although price rises elsewhere mean Hull now becomes the cheapest place to buy or invest in the UK.

Barnsley has now exited the top 15 cheapest property locations for the first time in many months with the average property price there now topping £90,000.
